Glossary
xG (expected goals) is a standard football metric. The xG on this site is produced by our own model, TrueGoals, computed from public match statistics — we never copy or resell anyone else's figures. See the methodology for how it's built and validated.

- Goals scored (actual).
- xGF
- Expected goals for: goals our model (TrueGoals) says this team's performances typically produce.
- xGA
- Expected goals against: same, for goals conceded.
- xGD
- Expected goal difference (xGF minus xGA).
- Pts
- Actual league points.
- xPts
- Expected points: points the team “should” have won based on xG, via match simulation.
- Luck
- Actual points minus expected points. Positive = over-performing its underlying numbers (may regress); negative = under-performing.
First half / second half
Descriptive half-by-half facts from actual half-time and full-time scores — not predictions. Rates (like 2H%) are shown only when there are enough matches or goals behind them to be meaningful; otherwise the raw counts still show. See the cross-leaguesecond-half goals & comebacks page.

- Goals scored in the first half.
- GF H2
- Goals scored in the second half (full-time minus half-time).
- GA H1
- Goals conceded in the first half.
- GA H2
- Goals conceded in the second half.
- 2H%
- Share of the team's goals scored in the second half. Shown only when there are enough goals to be meaningful.
- CB
- Comebacks: matches the team was trailing at half-time but ended up winning or drawing.
- LL
- Leads lost: matches the team was leading at half-time but ended up drawing or losing.
Home advantage
Realized home vs away performance from actual results — descriptive, not a prediction. The headline is the "edge": how much stronger a team is at home, and how that has trended over time. See the cross-league home advantage page.

- Home win percentage.
- H PPG
- Home points per game (3 for a win, 1 for a draw).
- A PPG
- Away points per game.
- Edge
- Home edge: home points per game minus away points per game — the size of the team's home advantage. Caveated when either home or away matches are few.
- H GD/g
- Home goal difference per game.
- A GD/g
- Away goal difference per game.
Corners
Descriptive corner counts from actual results — not a prediction or an "expected corners" figure. Corners are shown where available (near-complete for recent seasons, sparser before 2017/18); per-game rates are caveated when few matches sit behind them. See the cross-leaguecorner stats page.
